Plans are to begin filming in the fall of 2026 inshallah as a collaboration between creatives in North America, Turkiye, and Pakistan, in a five episode live-action series.

Yes, the prequel will feature characters and themes from Part 1 of Dawn of the Firebird, delving into the context and early lives that shaped the bulk of the novel. The show will focus on Khamilla’s parents: the Prince / Emperor, and Aysenor. Other characters will include Dunya, Eliyas, Yun, Babshah Khatun and the Khan.

I am consulting as a producer for the show, and I am thankful that they have let me play a vital role to ensure the world is adapted as canonically and faithfully as possible, while still allowing for creative liberties.

Anything can happen as adaptations are difficult, however the team is enthusiastic and promising!
